Bless someone today

Weather is 51 degrees and cloudy today.

I read from Proverbs today. I have a passage that stuck out to me.

Proverbs 3:27-28
"Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, 'come back tomorrow' - when you now have it with you."

I want to be a blessing to someone today. I have so many people in my life that bless me continually. Lord, help me to bless someone. Help me to be kind to my family and to not stress out about things I cant change. You are in control. I give you my day. Help me to train up my kids in Righteousness. I want them to know you. Please help Katy to be nice to Maire. Thank you for letting her sleep thru the night last night. Help John and I know what is best for our family, best for the girls, best for us and for GiGi. Thank you for another day.

Weather is Foggy and about 60 degrees outside.

Today I'm reading Psalm 107. Its interesting, because I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed these past few days. But God has been reminding me time and time again that I’m not alone. I’m not the only mother that feels overwhelmed with her life right now. Sometimes I feel invisible, like no one sees the stuff I’m doing. But then Kathy sent me a forward titled “I’m Invisible”. It was all about this mother, complaining that she felt less of a person because all she did was take care of her home and family, and no one really noticed or said anything. But then a friend gave her a book about the men who built some of the cathedrals in Europe, and she felt God whisper to her, “I see you. You’re not invisible to me.” Such a blessing. Thank you Lord!

Maire has a cough today. She is in good spirits though. I’ve given her cough medicine. Katy is fine. She’s at school today. She loves it there. I wish though, that she would sleep at night. The last two nights she has woken up at least 5 times. She turns the light on it her room, and then comes and does the same to my room. The moment she sees me move to get up, she runs back to her room. I spanked her pretty good last night. I’m so tired today. I was tired yesterday too. Yesterday I took a nap. Today, I have too much to do to take a nap. I’ll be lucky if I get a shower while Maire is napping.

I have a verse for today.

Psalm 107:1

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

I like this verse. It reminds me to thank the Lord for everything. For every circumstance, for every poopy diaper I have to clean up, for every scream for every laugh and giggle, for all the stressful times, and for the happy & content times. For EVERYTHING, because HE IS GOOD. He knows what I need, when I need it. Thank you Lord, for this dirty house that never seems to get clean and stay that way. Thank you for the never-ending dirty diapers and the meat that is thawing in my sink for dinner tonight. Thank your for the blessings you’ve sent my way, and will send my way. Thank you for my husband who provides for us. Thank you for GiGi who blesses my life and prays for me.
